This section describes the composition of ASCI. ASCI is made of a tumor antigen, delivered as recombinant protein and combined with a GSK proprietary immunological Adjuvant System.

The advantages of this approach are the following:

  • Recombinant proteins have the potential to be used in all patients, irrespectively of their HLA type.
  • Immunological Adjuvant Systems aim at enhancing both the magnitude and duration of immune response to the tumor antigen.
